I Love LUSH - And so do so many others. While surfing the web, I found some very positive reviews for LUSH products. And Lush products are "GREEN" too! Read on:

The name says it all...Lush is decadent and fabulous. This store is truly original. They carry handmade soaps, hair products, lotions, and more. When you walk in, you are hit with a mix of intoxifying aromas. One of my favorite products is the Shampoo Bar which looks like a soap bar, but lathers into a shampoo that lasts for 20+ washes! It also has a cute little metal case, which makes it perfect for travel. All of products are very rich and use lots of natural ingredients and fragrances. The personal touch is also a plus. Each product is marked with the name of the person that made it and gives you a "use by" date. This place is great for gifts or a little self-pampering!

Lush gets five stars from me for sticking to their principles and offering homemade products that are not tested on animals. They even advertise this fact on their bags and gave me a postcard stating that for 30 years their founders have been "creating cruelty-free products and actively fighting animal testing." They also make sure that none of their raw materials are tested on animals either.

Lush Solid Shampoos are sold by weight. Since it's a hard block, it lasts longer and you use less of it. Since these are solids, you can travel with them without spills. If you've got hard water, we think you might like to try Lush Hard Water Solid Shampoos $8.95/3.05 oz which balances out the effects of hard water on your hair. The Soap Bar we tested looked and felt (in our hands) like a yummy piece of dried pink birthday cake and smelled slightly floral. There is also a Lush Tropical Fruit Jungle Detangler/Conditioner $8.95/3.05 oz (sold by weight). Buy a "slice" of this slightly spicy-smelling (tropical fruit refers to good for your hair ingredients) green solid conditioner, rub it over wet hair, massage and rinse, for use with all types of hair. The invigorating, clean smell will appeal to men, too. (Blogger's Note: Prices in this review may not be current.)

I've ordered from the Lush North Amreica website seven times now. Everything in the shipped packages (I placed two more orders just tonight to take advantage of promotions!) has been sent quickly, packaged well and sealed thoroughly, with as little packaging as possible. And most of that has been recyclable paper and the like - so much better than opening a box and finding wads of styrofoam peanuts! They make their items with natural ingredients and safe synthetics. Every haircare/skincare product an shower gel/shower jelly I've ordered has lasted very well, which cuts down on the priciness! They do offer some very nice Bath Bombs and Bubble Bath Bars that are mant to be used more quickly, but even those can be split in half or even smaller so a single Bath Bomb can be used perfectly well for at least two baths if (like me) you can't quite afford to be decadent enough to use the whole thing at once! I don't think I've every looked at the site and not found some sort of active promotion or discount that's been tempting - some have been for cheaper shipping and some have been for piles and piles of free full-size products, and all have been lovely. They also even include free samples with each order and you can request specific things that sound appealing.

Basically: Good products, freshly made, and most last a really long time; my skin and hair have been very happy with everything I've tried so far, which is more than I could say for other, similar stores. Very satisfied so far.

You don't have to go all the way to the U.K. - where the store mentioned in the above reviews is located and the products are HAND MADE) to shop for LUSH (although it would be fun!). Just click on the banner below.
